How exactly does InTheGame work?

What is the difference between wearing a sports tracker while playing and ITG’s statistics?

Data Collection/Rules

Can I play at any ground?

Yes, at any ITG partnered venue. Plans are not venue specific. Hence, under one plan itself, you can play at any ITG powered venue.

Do I have to wear something while playing?

Yes, all players must wear ITG provided bibs while playing. Without which, it is impossible for us to track and capture the required data.

Are there are any rules while playing?

Yes, although we’ve ensured that none of the fun is taken away in the process. Here are some:

-       Bibs must be worn by ALL (even if only 1 player wants stats)

-       Players can switch teams only once

-       Teams can switch sides only once

-       No 2 players can wear the same bib (with the same number) at the same time.

-       A maximum of 2 players can wear the same bib (with the same number) over the course of the entire game. This is only possible with substitutions/changing of teams.

-       If you’re playing with any specific rules – no Throw Ins, no Corners, different rules for a Penalty etc, please inform the ITG personnel at the venue.

-       Fouls/Handballs – any kind of infringements will only be captured provided the same is clear and play is stopped for the same. I.e. If there is a Freekick awarded in the game.

Is there a limit of the no of players per match?

Yes, currently we have a limitation of 9 players, including substitutes, per side

How long does it take to get my stats?

Stats and HLs will be ready and available on the website within 48 hours of working days from the game being completed (excluding public holidays and weekends).

All games that get completed after 23:00hrs and before 09:00hrs, the said 48-hour duration only starts at the following 10:00hrs (the next working day).

How accurate are the stats?

While most stats are immune to the number of players playing, some key stats like Player Ratings, Team Averages and Team Totals are heavily dependent on the number of players in the game that have subscribed to InTheGame.

Distance Travelled represents the minimum amount of distance travelled by a person on the field. This is calculated on the basis of every touch a player has, i.e. off-the-ball movement is not tracked.

ITG Advantage captures every touch on the ball and everything that you’d require to know for the same.
Basic, however, gives you a complete overview of the entire game without deep diving into anything.

How do I book a slot at one of the venues, for which I want stats?

At ITG, we only deal with the stats aspect of your game. Using the ‘Book’ feature on the website is for us to know when you’d be coming to the field to play. This is not the same as booking the slot, we assume that you already have the slot.

To book the slot, head over to Find A Field, look for the venue’s contact information and book a lot either by calling or using their online means.

Does booking a slot at the venue mean I’ve also paid for stats?

No. As said above, we only deal with the stats aspect of your game. Booking a slot at the ground entitles you to play at the ground and Booking a slot with us tell us that you’d be coming to the field at that time and you’d like that game to be recorded. Neither means the other is also complete/done.

Can we book half-slots?

The minimum duration of a slot is 60mins – 1 slot (one game).
There can be slots of 90mins – 1.5; but there can’t be 30min – 0.5.

Product Usage

Who all have access my statistics?

Your profile page (Dashboard) contains total cumulative data for some stats is visible to the public. In addition, all players that make it to the Leaderboards. and the corresponding stat’s data, will be visible to the public.

Barring this, no one except you will be able to see any detail, chart or data pertaining to a specific game or games. Even players in the same team/game as you, will not be able to see your data for the same (only team data is available). This data (and HLs) can be made available to other by sharing the same.

Can I download my data?

If you’re an ITG Advantage customer, all you have to do is send us a quick email to using our Contact page, asking us for the data for a particular game.

How long are these statistics available for?

These stats will be stored and be available on the website for as long as you have an account with ITG.

Where can I watch my match HLs/ video replay?

Being an ITG Advantage customer, you have access to Match HLs and Replays. Once the match data is made available, so are the HLs. Please click on the Match HLs link that is visible on the Previous Game page or inside the ITG Advantage pages.

Full Match Replays will be made available on demand (write to us here) and will be available for viewing/download for a week after.

Pricing & Plans

What is the pricing & plan structure?

Note, in all plans, the term 'Game' refers to a 60 minute slot (ie, all prices are Per Head Per Hour). As mentioned in the Data Collection/Rules > Can we book 'Half-slots'? FAQ - you may book and pay for games that 1.5 hours as well (anything more than 1 hour). Refer to the below table for a clear understanding:

Can I get a free trial?

We have a standing Free Trial policy whenever we launch at a new venue. If you’re a bit late, get in touch with us and we’ll take it from there.

Can I upgrade/downgrade my current plan?

Of course you can upgrade, you’re going to love ITG Advantage.

At this stage, we do not accept refunds and while we can downgrade your plan, we will have to adjust the balance in your current plan.

Can I buy a plan for a group/team or transfer my account?

No, all plans are meant for individuals only. You can have multiple accounts form a Team but each account will only be linked towards one player.

As a result, you will not be able to transfer your account to another email address or person.

Can I pause my current subscription?

Yes, we understand that everyone's got lives (work) outside of football. This is dependent on which plan you have.

5 Game Plan – 1 Pause for a duration of 7 days.
10 Game Plan - 1 Pause for a duration of 15 days.
50 Game Plan -  2 Pauses with a total duration of 30 days.

Will I get a refund if I cancel my subscription?

As of now, we do not accept refunds and hence if you cancel your subscription there would be no refund transferred.

What if I don’t show for a game? Will I get a refund?

No show, no worries. We will only count the game as completed against your plan if you are finally a part of the game.
